A workout missed is gone forever-Part 2

Today was a perfect example of what I spoke about in the prior article about missing a workout.

So let’s go forward where we left off.

Today I decided I wanted to deadlift  again. I had an idea of what I wanted to do but was not sure how I would feel.

So I went with the same starting weight I used last time I pulled my deficits. 545lbs went up with ease for a triple. I then pulled it agin for 3 more sets of 5. After that I felt so good I put 605 on the bar (while standing on a 4″ high weight) and pulled and easy single..

I am right back on track to my best pull of last year. I’m feeling very strong this week and my pulling is getting mback in the groove.

Instead of missing a workout due to you not following your schedule, you must pay attention to your body and go with how you feel.

I cannot stress enough the importance of paying attention to the signs your body gives you. You should know your body better than anyone else does. Go with how you feel. If you don’t feel like doing a conditioning workout then don’t.

If you are supposed to feel like pulling from the floor but still feel tight in your lower back then do something else.

I went in the gym with a plan and ended up doing even better than I thought I could.

You do not have to miss a workout.

Leave your ego in at the door and go with how you feel.

If you don’t feel like training at all then DON’T!

Save it for another day, but if you just feel like doing something else then go for it.

Along with feeling great when your done you might just have a personal best like I did.

I’m getting my swagger back.
