Been weeks since my last post, I’ve had lots going on good and bad
During this time of reflection I thought to myself “how rich I am”
Too many this may sound arrogant. However I don’t mean it in that way whatsoever.
The way I view “rich” is much different than society today looks at it.
This is my outlook on being “Rich”:
-my bills are all paid
-I have no debt
-my wife & I have money in the bank
-I’m able to take my wife out to dinner if I like
-we have a roof over our head
-clean, running water
-my wife and I are in great health
-we have friends
-we own a house
-a large fenced in back yard
-my vehicle is paid for
-we have nice furniture
-we never go without a meal
-i’m able to buy my wife a gift if I choose
-we have 2 televisions
-we have electricity, heat, air conditioning
-we do our laundry at our home
-internet, cell phones, video game system, all sorts of appliances,
-we have eachother
-we are Christians
I could keep going on, but the point i’m making is to someone else from another country or even america we would be considered “rich’
“Rich” in our country is looked at as someone who has an endless supply of funds, such as a very large bank account, drives a ferrari or rolls, lives in a mansion, goes on extravagant vacations anytime they want and more.
By wife and I don’t fit that category at all. But we are very blessed & rich.
Some of the stuff we have accumulated has just become “stuff” and this day many people just have a bunch of “stuff” yet they are still not happy.
These people still complain about not having enough or not being able to do this or that. There is nothing wrog with having goals and wants, I’m a very goal oriented person.
However you might be much richer than you think. If you would only take the time to slow down, stop with the “poor me” syndrome and look around you.
I’m sure many of you are better off than you think.
Just my thoughts,
The Machine
