Life is too short to worry about those that spew Negativity.

Think about this, you have one life and only one life. So why not make it as positive as you can. The way to do this is by being around positive people and a positive surrounding.

Why worry about what people are thinking of you, who don’t have any impact on your life? Brothers, life is too short!

Being around negativity will only bring you down. It’s like the domino effect. If you are associated with a bunch of idiots, troublemakers and such, well, that bad vibe will come down on you as well.

As you go on through life you will be met with many negative individuals. These people are either jealous of you or are just plain miserable with their own lives.

Why worry about them? You have to ask yourself, “Is their opinion really that important? Do these people really have an impact on my life?”

I know this sounds harsh, but it’s the truth. I am a firm believer in being good to people and treating people with respect. With that in mind, I am also a firm believer that NEGATIVITY only

hurts you. So why be associated with it? Sometimes in the course of our lives we will all face some kind of negativity and we all must deal with it in our own way. The thing to remember is to be strong, don’t be weak minded.

If you are successful at something, you will find more people out there pop off at the mouth and talk bad of you. They are always talking of how they can do what you do, or if they trained they could do this, they could do that, or the most common one I get (and my favorite) “My uncles, sisters, cousins, fathers, best friends, nephew is stronger than that!”

That last one cracks me up. Seriously, you must turn negativity into a positive. If you are doing something that others are not, and you’re good at it, then people are going to talk. Talking about you whether bad or good is a great thing. Take it and run with it, associate yourself with positive people, positive thoughts, and positive surroundings and you’ll go far. But let your mind and heart ponder about the negativity spewing from some knuckleheads mouth and you could just end up sinking.

  1. Mike,

So true, man. My life improved significantly once I decided to avoid those people who constantly brought me down with their negative attitudes and outlook on life in general. Unfortunately, I find difficulty sometimes in finding the people that I can keep around me as positive influences. When I do, I try hard to not lose them. Sometimes the best person to influence you and help you maintain positivity is yourself. Same thing goes for your own progress in your lifts or whatever strength/conditioning goals you have. You set your goals for yourself and no one else, so why should it matter what anyone else thinks? It’s just too bad there will always be these negative types of people out there. Keep spreading the word brother.
