Team Machine continues to impress as 14yr old Logan Ramsey completed 17 overhead dumbbell swings with the 80lbs dbell! I was in shock as this young man blew through the first 12 with ease. He was right on track to get 20 when he lost his grip. I feel he will be my first kid to get on the wall of fame for this tough feat.
Wyatt Burton, is my strongest young man. Wyatt only weighs 150 but his strength is phenominal. He too is in the race for the dbell swing and is currently at 14 reps. He maxed out at 180 on the bench press, an exercise we don’t practice often here as I feel it is overated.
Nate Phillips continues to boggle my mind. Nathan has made the most improvments out of all my kids. Logan Ramsey has changed his body the most but Nathan was far behind everyone else and now has stepped up to the front of the class. His heart and drive to succeed make him a stellar performer.
Caleb Downes surprised himself with his strengthin the dumbbell swing jumping all the way up from a 40lbs bell to a 65! I knew he had it in him but no idea he would find his groove this fast. Caleb is a steady performer who always gives 100%
LT aka Logan Tomlinson has been with me a short time but is already making good progress. LT punches like Mike Tyson and benched 95lbs for 8 reps once he overcame his fear of the bar. This was his first time bench pressing. I look forward to his success.
Sharon Turpin, Rita Lukat, Pam and Gary Waddle dominated the bulgarian bags working their glutes and legs in last nights session.
The Ladies of the Night group: Krista, Kimmy Simpson and Jen Gow went through a nasty mixed conditioning session that would make most sick to their stomachs. The girls really stepped up and all passed with no worries even though 2 of the girls were not feeling the best. Kimmy got a personal best on the self destruction exercise with 10 reps. Kim is really shaping her body up and losing inches, it is very noticable. Way to go kim.
Don’t forget The Sisterhood boxing class meets on tuesday and thursday nights at 6, it is only $5 per person. Come learn some combatives to protect yourself and get in great shape. This is not box aerobics or taebo and it is not taught by some one that has no background to be teaching or that has never been in a ring or on a mat.
